Cadw Swn uses classical music and stories to ease and speed your progress.

This audio collection has 8 tracks, containing 2 lessons from the course book and two relaxation tracks. Not all tracks are listed above, but rest assured that the audio download will contain the full 8 tracks of CD 1.

Here's how Cadw Swn works:

1 Relax. Listen to one of the the relaxation tracks and relax with the calming music.

2 Read through an episode of the story while listening to the script being read aloud. The Welsh and English are printed side-by-side in your course file, (available separately) so that you always have all the vocabulary to hand.

3 Read through the story again, this time listening to the story read over classical music, to ‘float’ language into your memory.

4 Close your course file and listen to the baroque music with the story read softly in the background. Either picture the events in the story, or simply listen to the music, it’s up to you. This track will anchor the language in your mind.

5 Sleep on it! Let the ‘seeds’ we planted ‘grow’ overnight, and let your subconscious mind do the hard work.

6 The following day, or some other time, read through the story and work through the exercises in the course book. Then carry on with the next lesson after a break, or on another day. You’ll be amazed at how quickly and enjoyably you learn!

Each CD contains 2 lessons from the course book, read three times as described above. Most CDs also include a relaxation track before each lesson.
